This Monaro is one of my customers pride and joy, and rarely sees the light of day! The engine was pulled down, and already had a major amount of work done to it. The heads have been severely ported and matched to another Edelbrock torquer manifold. A Holley 750 DP sits up top. The pistons are 11.5:1 Chev items machined to suit the 308. Everything is balanced, and basically this engine only needed a refreshers course! After sitting for so long, George wanted this thing to be worth the wait. The engine bay was repainted and the chrome work was redone.
The factory air conditioning was removed so that the engine bay looked neater, and all the wires where hidden from view, to again assist in cosmetic wank value. (I think it worked).
The extractors had seen better days, so we opted for the Pacemakers with 1 3/4 primaries and 2-inch secondaries, matched up to twin 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent stainless pipes with magnaflow stainless mufflers.
The Turbo 400 was rebuilt to stage 2 specs, with a few extra internal mods for strength. The 2200 Stall will keep it easy to drive around town, especially with the 4:11 nine inch.
