Out with the old and in with the new! A VR 5.0ltr PFI engine was sourced and installed the HZ (No Gas). The ute was already fitted with a Supra 5 speed and a multi-holed bell housing, so the engine bolted straight in. Pacemaker extractors where used, and mated up to the twin system. The factory power steering was utilised, along with the HZ fan, radiator and shroud. The Battery was relocated to the right, with the relay assembly nestled next to it, and a Commodore air box and intake fitted on the left. A majority of the wiring was hidden behind the guards, and the rest was neatly placed to keep the engine bay looking clean. The owner installed a check engine lamp lens into the dash facia, in place of an unused dash warning light, which looked very neat. The ECM was mounted behind the left kick panel, as per usual.
