Interior changes from VB through to VL are possible. There are some variations to this though. Some things that are different between models are listed as follows -
* VK and VL Commodores use different roof linings than the VB, VC and VH Commodores.
* VL Commodores have a different left hand front seat mounting assembly than that of the VB to VK. This can be modified.
* VB, VC and VH use different air conditioning controls than VK and VL is different again, so dash changes must be planned carefully.
* VB, VC and VH have different rear seat belt anchor points than the VK and VL, so the rear parcel shelves are different.
* Standard locking doors and central locking doors have different door trims.
* Electric windowed vehicles also have different door trims compared to vehicles with wind up windows.
* Calais's and SL/E's have extra brackets for console mounting.
* Calais's and SL/E's have rear headrests, which require metal brackets to be mounted on the rear inner panel.
* The crash pad and gauge assembly from VL's can be fitted to earlier models with some bracketry changes to the dash support beam.
*VN up to VS interiors are interchangeable also. These also have variations such as split rear seat top, parcel shelves, door trims, and firewall variations etc. The most common base colour of these models is grey, but each model will have a different shade of grey, which can become quite annoying, as they are all slightly different. Obviously models like Calais and Statesman are more involved.
